This stand alone SCSI CD Server System is very powerful and flexible. It includes a full complement of 56 CD-ROM drives. However, it will accept disc changers, as well as single disk units. As such, a total of 224 total CDs are supported and are instantly and automatically accessable across your network as soon as they are inserted. CD-ROM drives and disc changers can be intermixed. These are "Hot swap drives," and can be easily added, or removed, with no tools, and without taking the system off-line! The CD-ROM drives can be locked electronically. Locking cabinet and cabinet door prevent theft of valuable system components. The front panel displays system status. The included remote control software allows the server to be managed from any network station. The system includes 32 MB of memory standard. Memory is expandable up to 256 MB using industry standard SIMM modules. SCSI expansion ports are included to ensure easy upgradability. The included software supports all popular network clients, independently of the Network Operating System employed, including Microsoft NT and Novell NetWare.The operational manual is also included. This is a very fine system, in excellent condition and fully operational. The potential applications are limitless, from publishing data to the web to the publication of any form of documents, or images, on your LAN or WAN.
